Unimpressed !!!!

Well, I still haven't forgiven mum for her visit to the Leuradales.... and you would think she would be trying to get back in my good books......but NOOOOOO ! Instead she has been singing this song to me - (why she calls me "Missy Moo Moo" - I have no idea !)

Missy Moo Moo
Likes to chomp on poo poo

She brings it in on the rug
then comes over and expects a hug

Her teefies are brown
and she wonders why I frown

What are we to do ?
She likes to munch on poo

Does anyone want our Missy Moo Moo
We will ship her for free to you !!!!!

Friends - is this appropriate behaviour from my mum ? I think we should make up a song about her - please feel free to have a go in my comments, and also please feel free to use the words "fat" and "arse" ! Hehe.

Incriminating Evidence !!!!

So pups - I am gruff, yes very gruff !!!

Mum has gone away AGAIN and left us - but she left behind her picture taking machine, the very one that she took away with her last week when she went away for "work".

What sort of "work" is this ??????

I am very upset - perhaps the gruffest I have EVER been !

It seems that mum went and stayed overnight at the Leuradales B&B, and spent a whole 24hours playing with my DWB buddies - Noah, Willow, Tess & Lucy.

I knew she had been up to "stuff" when she came back and we sniffed her all over and she smelled like other pups - she tried to bluff her way out of it by giving us cake. I didn't even ask where the cake came from, as it was SO delicious.

But to "rub salt into my already very raw wounds" - I understand that the cake was to celebrate Tess' "gotcha" day - so there was a party, and I wasn't even invited !!!!! Gee, thanks mum - you are such a pal !!!! GRRRRRRRR !

Judging by the photos, she had a wonderful time - and I overheard her telling SHD that the Leuradales pinkies were "just lovely", and the B&B was "just gorgeous", and the dales were "just so cute".

You know what I think ?

She should "just bugger off" !!!!!

How dare she go visiting MY pals without me !

Oh, and it snowed as well !

This gruffness will last a while - let me tell you !

Stuff.....

Well, since I am not allowed to speak to Greg for the next 11 minutes - I thought I would give you all an update on Charlie.

He is doing much better this Wednesday than he was last Wednesday - thank DoG ! I seriously thought we were in trouble last week - not a decision I was looking forward to having to make, especially with Greg being away.

Short of it is that when we left him at the Vet's for a chest xray a few weeks ago now - "something" happened and we were sent home with a dog that could barely walk. More investigation revealed that his hip had actually disclocated :( The thing that totally pissed me off was that they didn't tell us something had happened. He has been having weekly Cartrophen (spelling ?) injections, which seem to have really helped, and has also been put on a drug called Tramal, and also Nupentin - both are human drugs. He is still pretty weak and wobbly in his back end - but I am hoping that we will continue to improve. He goes back to Dr Peter on Friday, and we are hoping to start to wean him off some of the medication he is on - he is on about 15 pills a day at the moment.

He has had to go back on his heart medication as his heart has not "re-modelled" as they were hoping, and he was starting to cough again. Not the best of news, but since he has been back on the Vetmedin & (new) Forketor, his coughing has eased and, whilst he is still alittle "huffy puffy" if he exerts himself, or gets excited - it has certainly improved. Fingers crossed we can continue on this track.

All I want is for him to have some "smooth sailing" for awhile - he has suffered enough, and the last few weeks have really broken my heart. There is nothing worse than seeing your pup look at you with a look that says "fix it", and there is nothing more you can do :(

Thank you all for caring. I will be letting Opy post again shortly to voice her dismay that I went and visited the Leuradales without her :)

Here is a picture of our babies - we love them with all our hearts.

Brief Update.....

We are hoping that that light that is supposed to shine at the end of the tunnel, becomes alittle brighter for us over the next few days. It is shining fairly faintly at the moment - but fingers crossed, with all Charlie's new pills & potions - it will start to shine so brightly that we will need our sunglasses on !

I am going away until Wednesday next week (unavoidable, I'm afraid) - so hopefully by the time I get back, Charlie will be doing much better, and I can tell everyone what has been happening with him - a very long story !

Thanks for caring - it means alot.

Taking a break.....

Hi everyone,

Just a short note to let you all know that we are taking a break for alittle while.

We have had a setback with Charlie - and need to concentrate on him.

Thanks,

Brooke
