CAKES, CALANDERS AND CARDS..........AND SOME VERY SAD NEWS......

Here is me with my birthday cake - I think I was alittle scared of the candle thingy, but it sure tasted good - Charlie and I waited patiently for mum to cut it, then we got half each :-)

We got all our cards done on Sunday - very hard work it was - as you can see, I did a quality control inspection on them to make sure they were up to my specifications ! Then I fell asleep, so, if you get an envelope with alittle drool on it, don't be too alarmed !

R.I.P sweet Daisie Duke.

We didn't get to know you as well as we would have liked, but we loved you very much. Big hugs and licks to Daisie's family - we are thinking of you all. Run free now sweet girl..........

Wow, this is gonna be a busy post - lots to tell !

Well, mum came home yesterday, just in time for my barkday - and I can tell you all I had my gruffest chops on for her ! I just stood at the gate and gave her my best "how dare you leave me for a week" look. I punished her for about an hour - and then I couldn't help it, I just had to snuggle with her and tell her how much I missed her. (May have had something to do with the promise of making a Birthday cake for me today:-) I had a nice barkday - but no bones though, as Charlie has had problems in the pooper department this week. That's okay though, as my cake will more than make up for it !

BORRRRRRRRIIINGGGGG !!!!

Hey there all you groovy pups ! Hope you are all well.

Well, this week has been a pretty boring week in my little world, not too much to report at all.

Mum has been busy studying up manuals and catologues for her new job, and she said it feels like she is back at school. She is pretty excited about it all though - so that's great.

She finished up at her old job yesterday - and we were all ready to pawty by the time she got home, but after a few drinks and a big dinner - everyone was asleep in the loungeroom by 10pm ! Phhhhh, we could all show them how to pawty - couldn't we :-) No sleep for two days at my Howloweenie party - mum and dad need to take some lessons from us I think !

I just heard that mum is going away for the WHOLE week next week :-( I can't say that I am too happy about that ! Charlie and I will have to keep a close eye on dad and make sure that he doesn't get up to any mischief whilst she is away. I think mum has written him lots of notes to do stuff whilst she is away - very important things like feeding us and the like !! I hope he doesn't forget ! We will miss mum heaps whilst she is away - but we know it is just because she is starting her new job, so we have to be "understanding"- whatever that means!

I think we will help dad during the week to make all our "DWB's Xmas Card Exchange" cards - I am going to personally seal them all with a big sloppy one just from me :-) I can't wait to send them all out, it's going to be SO much fun ! Big licks to Miss Sunshade's & Buster's mum's for organising it all - much appreciated. I am also hoping our calander's will be here sometime this week - can't wait for that either.

When mum gets home on Friday, we will be opening the polls for the December DWB's Awesome Blog Award, and Photo of the Month Award - so you have a week to nominate if you feel so inclined.

Oh, it's my birthday on Friday - silly mum thought it was the 16th, but it's actually the 17th - if I didn't love her so much, I would be terribly insulted ! I think since she won't be home til late on Friday - that we will be having cake on Saturday. Yummy !

One last thing, R.I.P Simon - he was our fishy buddy that we have had for about 8 years - he was a big, beautiful rainbow shark and he passed to the Bridge yesterday. We will miss you buddy.

R.I.P Belinda Emmett - you fought the bravest of battles.

TOP SECRET - read on if you dare.......

Okay, so mum and dad have been up to something over the past few days, and I have only just managed to get the full details of what is going on - and I am going to share it with you all, but shhhh, don't tell anyone that I told you - as it is still "top secret".

The DWB's calendars are finished !!!!! and they look so darn good, it's just not funny !!! The top secret part comes into play here in that mum and dad haven't made them "public" in the store yet, as they want to do a "quality control" run before releasing them to all. So, they have ordered one of each of the calendars today - and once they receive them and make sure they are up to standard, they will be available for all to buy. I am SO excited - I am going to keep my eye's firmly on the letterbox over the next week and just wait for the postman to deliver them, nothing will distract me from my mission - well, except maybe eating and sleeping :-) What with the calendars, and the Christmas card exchange - it's going to be a really fun time ! Oh, and my birthday is coming up on November 16 - and I am sure to get a cake and some pressies for that ! A gal doesn't turn 10 everyday, you know :-)

So, here is a little sneaky peak at the cover of the DWB calendar - both covers are the same - and if you look very closely, you may see a little surprise in there ! (Hint - who is the Honorary member of DWB's?).



What else ? Oh, want to give big "paw-fives" to Bussie and Pappy, who are participating in NaBloPoMo - National Blog Posting Month, where they are posting a blog entry a day. Not an easy task - especially if you are like me and most of your days revolve around eating and sleeping ! So, go and leave them a comment and show your support.

Also, just wanted to "bark-out" to you all on a new DWB'er - please go and say a big woof to Carbi. Carbi is a very special doggie - he looks after his dad really well, and .....well, go and read the story for yourselves :-) Plus, he is another Aussie doggie - so that is way cools :-)

Not much else happening - have finally recovered from my pawty - how huge was that ! I haven't forgotten that I was gonna post some pics from mum and dad's "romantic" (blerk !!!) getaway - but apparently, the pics are in "raw" and need to be converted to "jpeg" before I can post them - huh ? who knows what that means ? I best sleep on it for awhile !
